Underground Railroad program planned for March 25
BURLINGTON, Ohio -- A program about the Underground Railroad in Burlington, Ohio, will be presented from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the Burlington Baptist Church located on County Road 1 in the "S" curve in Burlington.
Chris Saunders will talk about some of the people involved in the Underground Railroad and how slaves passing through Kentucky and western Virginia made their way across the Ohio River into the Burlington area.
