Kitts Hill resident reports break-in

The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Office reports:

BURGLARY: A 69-year-old Kitts Hill area man reported last month that someone broke into his house in Lawrence Township and stole a flat-screen television.

BURGLARY: A 56-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last month that someone broke into his residence and stole a flat-screen television.

BURGLARY: A 60-year-old Ironton area man reported last month that someone broke into his home in Union Township and stole a flat-screen television.

BURGLARY: A 52-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last month that someone broke into his home in Union Township and stole a flat-screen television.

BURGLARY: A 23-year-old South Point area woman reported last month that someone stole a flat-screen television from her home in Fayette Township.

THEFT: A representative of Oakland Chapel Church in Pedro reported last month that someone stole the copper from three air conditioning units, causing damages estimated at $15,000.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: A 55-year-old Ironton area man reported last month that someone took an insurance check for $5,950 to make repairs and never performed the work.

THEFT: An employee at Fairland East Elementary School reported last month that someone stole two weed eaters from a storage building.

FORGERY: Employees at Wal-Mart reported that two people cashed five forged payroll checks for $1,708.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 50-year-old Kitts Hill area woman reported lat month that someone stole an air conditioner, three lawn trimmers and a saw. The items were valued at $1,725.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 67-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last week that someone stole two lawn trimmers and a chainsaw from his garage in Union Township. The items were valued at $1,033.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 19-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that her boyfriend struck her across the face with an open hand. A sheriff's deputy arrested an 18-year-old South Point man on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.
