Garbage truck rolls over on Ohio highway
WHEELERSBURG, Ohio -- A garbage truck rolled over Thursday, March 6, blocking Ohio 140 at mile post 7, according to a news release from the Portsmouth post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The driver, David Ramey Cordell, 49, of Portsmouth, was heading eastbound when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and overturned, according to the release. Cordell was flown to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed due to the spill of trash. The road was expected to be reopened around 6 p.m. that day, according to the release.
