Gospel trio New Mercy to perform series of concerts

CHESAPEAKE -- The gospel trio New Mercy will perform a series of concerts this weekend in the following locations:

7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21: Getaway United Methodist Church, Getaway, Ohio

10 a.m. Sunday, November 22: Chesapeake United Methodist Church, Chesapeake

5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22: First Gyandotte Baptist, Gyandotte, W.Va.

New Mercy is a Christian trio that has been singing and performing together since 1998. New Mercy has performed to a wide variety of audiences from a few to a few thousand. The members of New Mercy are based out of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The members are Doug Years singing baritone, Kenny Phillips singing lead, and tenor Dan Szymczak.

 

Chesapeake church offers weekly worship

CHESAPEAKE -- St. Ann Catholic Church, 310 3rd Ave, Chesapeake, invites the community to worship. Mass begins on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. There is a weekday mass at 8 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mass is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. Fridays.

Big Branch Church to hang the greens

CHESAPEAKE -- Big Branch Church will have a special evening with "Hanging the Greens" this Wednesday, Nov. 25. Worship service starts at 7 p.m. with Pastor Viars preaching, and Kids for Christ for ages 4-12 and Christians on the PROWL for the Teens. Church members will decorate the sanctuary for Christmas during this time also.

This Sunday, Nov. 22, all are invited to attend Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., followed by worship at 10:45 a.m.

Church invites all to weekly worship services

SOUTH POINT -- The First Southern Baptist Church of South Point, located at 110 Collins Ave. (next to the South Point Post Office) invites the community to attend worship services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sundays, as well as Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.

Wednesday night services begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the church's fellowship hall.

The church also offers special services for children and youth on Sunday evening and youth service on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The church pastor is Ricky Kirk; youth pastor is Jacob Wysong.

Burlington church invites women to group meeting

BURLINGTON -- The Burlington United Methodist Church, located at 7353 County Road 1, invites women of the neighborhood, from other churches, and family and friends to join its ladies ministry.

Outreach ministries are being planned locally.

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the church's fellowship hall. The church is located in the S-curve behind Lowe's, and the fellowship hall is immediately next to the church.

Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. for all ages. Worship is at 10:45 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. Children's church is also held at 10:45 a.m.

On Wednesdays, Bible study is at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

The church is led by the Rev. Dr. Scott Mann, pastor.

Church extends invite for weekly worship

SOUTH POINT -- The First Baptist Church of South Point, 101 Solida Road, South Point, invites all area residents to worship.

Music and worship led by Fred Pack and Sharon Ison begins at 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, with Sunday school 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesdays, Bible study will begin at 7 p.m., with special classes for children and teens.

Lew Ashworth is the church's pastor.

Baptist church offers worship, Sunday school

ROME, Ohio -- Beulah Baptist Church, the little country church in the heart of Rome, located on the corner of Beulah Lane and Old St. Rt. 7, invites all to worship at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sundays and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Sunday school classes for all ages are also offered at 10 a.m. Sundays.

Dr. Kevin Bloomfield is the church's pastor.

Chesapeake church invites guests to worship

CHESAPEAKE -- The community is invited to worship at Chesapeake Southern Baptist Church on Sundays at 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Sunday morning Bible study is held at 9:30 a.m.; there is a class for every age. Children's worship is held during the morning worship and the Youth Group meets during the evening services on Sundays.

The church is led by Pastor Bill Tussey.

South Point church invites all to worship

SOUTH POINT -- South Point Christian Church, located at 101 Park Ave., South Point, invites all to attend worship services at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays, with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. A Bible study is also offered at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
