Boil water advisory issued for South Point
SOUTH POINT, Ohio -- The village of South Point has issued a boil water advisory through Wednesday, Oct. 3, at several locations within the village due to a water line break Thursday.
Residents are urged to boil water for at least a minute for water they plan to use for drinking or for making ice, cooking or oral hygiene.
The advisory impacts residents in the 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, Linden, Auburn Nelson, Park, Center, Margaret, Dean Keith, Shannon, Washington, High, Alma and Fairview streets.
The South Point water department has no evidence the water is contaminated at this time, according to the advisory. The advisory is being issued as a precaution.
