Two people arrested on drug charges in South Point Ohio

SOUTH POINT, Ohio -- Two people were arrested and 295 oxycodone pills were confiscated after a raid Thursday evening at a motel in the South Point area, according to a release from the Lawrence County Drug & Major Crimes Task Force.

Emmanuel Javon Anderson, 33, of 700 block of 6th Avenue in Huntington was charged with two counts of felony III drug trafficking and felony I aggravated possession of drugs, the release said. Heather Ratliff, 29, of Private Drive 2824 in South Point was charged with three counts of felony III drug trafficking and one count of felony IV drug trafficking, the release said.

Drug task force personnel also seized $1,651 in cash at the Southern Hills Hotel on Solida Road, according to the release.

Officers from the Ironton Police, South Point Police and Lawrence County Sheriff assisted with the investigation.
