Rally on the River ready to rumble into Ironton

IRONTON -- Rally on the River is rumbling into Ironton for its 10th year, Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 15-17.

The lineup for this year's rock music fest is bigger and better than ever, featuring Pop Evil and Nonpoint on Thursday, Aug. 15, Dilana, Puddle of Mudd and Get The Led Out on Friday, Aug. 16, and on Saturday, Aug. 17, Shooter Jennings, Earth Quaker and Hellyeah.

Admission is $15 for a weekend pass. The rally is based at Depot Square in Ironton and at Ironton Hills Shopping Center. It runs from 1 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16, and from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

Along with the national-act rockers, there will also be veterans salutes, bike and car shows, the Moving Wall/Flags of Honor, and more.

Live music will be popping around the city at such biker-friendly bars as The Laid Back in Hanging Rock and The Fuzzy Duck on the Ironton Riverfront. The nightclub Frogtown USA, located at 2515 3rd St., Ironton, will host a triple-shot of locally-based, regionally traveling rockers both Friday and Saturday night. Better Day Parade will be playing 2 to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Zeroking will be playing 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Gypsy Roze will be playing 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. both nights.

Thursday: 7 p.m. -- opening ceremony; 9:45 p.m. Nonpoint and 11:15 p.m., Pop Evil;

Friday: 5 p.m. -- Bike Show; 6 p.m. -- Car show; 7:30 p.m. Get the Led Out and 10:45 p.m. Puddle of Mudd.

Saturday: Noon -- Poker Run; 4:30 p.m. -- Stone Machine; 6:30 p.m. -- Earthquakers; 9:30 p.m. -- Shooter Jennings; and 11:15 p.m. -- Hellyeah.
