South Point woman reports theft of TV
IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Office reports:
BURGLARY: A 66-year-old South Point area woman reported someone broke into her residence in Perry Township and stole a television valued at $1,500. Sheriff's deputies arrested Justin A. Shelton, 22, of South Point, and Michael Omasta, 24, of Fort Gay, W.Va., on charges of burglary and transported them to jail.
TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE: A sheriff's deputy arrested Helen Shortridge, 55, of Private Drive 14870, Proctorville, on charges of tampering with evidence, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported her to jail Monday.
THEFT: A 67-year-old Waterloo-area man reported Friday that someone stole a 5-year-old quarterhorse and a 2-year-old gelding from his pasture in Symmes Township.
AGGRAVATED MENACING: A desk clerk at the Grandview Inn in Sheridan reported Friday that a man threatened her with a black baseball bat after she unplugged an extension cord going to a room. A sheriff's deputy arrested a 52-year-old South Point man on a charge of aggravated menacing and transported him to jail.
