Chesapeake Community Center offers variety of classes for all ages, levels

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio -- If you're looking to start up a new exercise program in the new year and don't want to go it alone, then the Chesapeake Community Center just might have what you're looking for.

The Center, 3978 Ohio 7, offers a variety of classes for all ages and ability levels. For more information about anything going on at the Center, call 740-867-4532.

Here's a look at some of the programs being offered.

BOXING CLASSES, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with training for amateurs through professionals.

AEROBIC/KICKBOXING CLASSES, 5:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays-Fridays; 9 a.m. Saturdays. Instructors: Sheila Ball, T.J. Niebergall and Roni Hayes. Cost is $20 a month; $5 daily.

KARATE CLASSES, class schedules are 5-6 p.m., beginners 5-12; 6-7 p.m., intermediate to advanced children of all ages; 7 p.m., teens 13 and up Mondays-Tuesdays; by invitation on Fridays. Instructor: Tim Farren. Cost is $20 a month; $5 daily; $2 daily for children.

ZUMBA IN THE PEAKE, 6:30 p.m. Mondays and 7:30 p.m. Thursdays. Cost: $5 per class or a 10-class punch card for $40.

CAFE FITNESS classes by Tim Farren: 8 and 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays, 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 8 and 9 a.m. Wednesday, and 8 and 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Fridays. Questions, email ruck74@aol.com.
