Gregory White was charged with three counts of trafficking in drugs and one count of complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs, according to a press release from Carey.

The arrest was an ongoing investigation by the Lawrence County Drug/Major Crimes Task Force, the Ironton Police Department and the Lawrence County prosecutor's office.

Tina White was placed on a five-day unpaid suspension, said Mayor Rich Blankenship. The suspension is until further notice.

Under terms of the city's collective bargaining agreement, White can request a hearing with Blankenship within five days. Blankenship also has the option of taking additional action after that.
