Chesapeake area woman reports aggravated burglary
IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Office reports:
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY: A 33-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported that someone came into her home when her 11-year-old was there and stole a rifle and a handgun. The items were valued at $300.
AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: An 18-year-old South Point man reported he was severely beaten by a 17-year-old boy and his shoes were stolen. The shoes subsequently were recovered.
BURGLARY: A 22-year-old South Point area man reported last week that a man came into a residence in Perry Township without knocking and shoved him to the ground. The man fled when authorities arrived and told him to stop. He tried to enter other apartments before being arrested. Jacob N. Mylar, 19, of Township Road 1186, South Point, was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and domestic violence and transported to jail.
BURGLARY: A 35-year-old Ironton area man reported last week that someone broke into his home in Upper Township and stole three shotguns and two rifles. The items were valued at $1,160.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: A 61-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last month that someone took her vehicle without her permission and wrecked it in Huntington.
THEFT: A 51-year-old South Point area man reported last week that someone stole four tires and aluminum rims from his truck in Fayette Township. The items were valued at $1,800.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 58-year-old Pedro area woman reported last week that her daughter ransacked the house and kicked her and took a phone from her and broke it when the mother threatened to call authorities. A sheriff's deputy arrested a 29-year-old Pedro woman on a charge of domestic violence and transported her to jail.
