Ironton man pleads guilty to escape

The following pleas and sentences were issued Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court:

Jeffrey N. Wallace, 52, of the 300 block of South 3rd Street, Ironton, pleaded guilty to escape and violating community control sanctions. Wallace was sentenced to a year in prison, given credit for time served and ordered to pay court costs.

Steven Douglas, 30, of County Road 52, Ironton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted receiving property. Judge Charles "Chuck" Cooper ordered a presentencing investigation and set final sentencing for July 31. Douglas faces up to a year in prison.

Andrea M. Ross, 24, of the 2200 block of Woodland Avenue, Ashland, was sentenced to six months at the Mended Reeds program in Ironton.

Travis Gentry, 23, of the 400 block of Solida Road, South Point, pleaded not guilty to a charge of breaking and entering. Bond was set at $10,000 and a pretrial was set for Aug. 7.
