Two arrested on drug charges in Ashland
ASHLAND -- Ashland police arrested two people overnight on heroin charges, according to a news release from Maj. Mark McDowell of the Ashland Police Department.
Arrested on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin) were Jon R. Pinkney, 27, of Toledo, Ohio, and Staci L. Stewart, 27, of Ashland. The pair were arrested at 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 3200 block of Park Street following a controlled buy, according to the release.
Stewart also was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Both were transported to the Boyd County Detention Center.
Police seized heroin, drug paraphernalia and more than $14,000 in cash, according to the release.
The case remains under investigation.
