Man reports stolen television
IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:
BURGLARY: A 29-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last week that someone broke into his residence in Union Township and stole several weapons and a 47-inch flat-screen television. The items were valued at $2,980.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: Windsor Fire Chief Donnie Christian reported last week that after firefighters responded to a wreck, they noticed someone had been in the fire station and stole copper wiring, tools, some gasoline, several air packs, some brass fittings and some motor oil. The items were valued at $15,405.
CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON: A 16-year-old Fairland Middle School student was charged with bringing a knife to school. She also will be suspended from school for 10 days.
THEFT: A 51-year-old Proctorville area woman reported last week that someone stole jewelry from her home in Rome Township. The items were valued at $8,600.
THEFT: A 44-year-old Proctorville man reported earlier this month that someone stole a handgun, an iPod an iPhone and $350 in cash.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 28-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week her husband slammed a computer screen on her hands, headbutted her several times and punched her in the face. She said he also bit her in the face, grabbed her right arm and was slinging her around the house and she is 37 weeks pregnant. A sheriff's deputy arrested a 26-year-old Chesapeake area man on a charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 41-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that a man kicked her in the face, knocking out several teeth. A sheriff's deputy arrested a 44-year-old Chesapeake area man on a charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.
