Man receives 15 years for robberies

CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- A Charleston man who pleaded guilty in two robbery cases was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to the office of Commonwealth's Attorney David Justice.

Joshua Smith, 20, was sentenced by Boyd County Circuit Judge George B. Davis III for the attempted robbery of a newspaper delivery driver and a guard at the Kentucky Electric Steel plant, according to Jason Greer, an assistant prosecutor.

In other cases:

Kendra Hicks, 25, of Ashland was sentenced by Judge C. David Hagerman to five years in prison for trafficking in drugs.

Alison Lewis, 30, of Ironton was sentenced by Hagerman to five years in prison for trafficking in drugs.

Christopher Woodle, 29, of Greenup, Ky., was sentenced by Hagerman to five years in prison for receiving stolen property.

Tara Payne, 22, of Catlettsbrg was sentenced by Davis to five years in prison for burglary.

Jeremy Howell, 33, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to three years in prison for facilitation of meth.

Rashad Carter, 20, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to two-and-a-half years in prison for drug possession.

James Clagg, 26, of Huntington was sentenced by Davis to two years in prison for trafficking in drugs.

Bryan Clagg, 26, of Huntington was sentenced by Davis to two years in prison for trafficking in drugs.

Robert Westmoreland, 34, of Ashland was sentenced by Hagerman to two years in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Randall Donta, 22, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to two years in prison for theft.

Chad Elledge, 42, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to a year in prison for trafficking in drugs.

Dina Blasko, 29, of Flatwoods, Ky., was sentenced by Davis to a year in prison for theft.

Judy Flocker, 51, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to a year in prison for theft.

Shane Prater, 24, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to a year in prison for receiving stolen property.

Cassie Daniels, 31, of Ashland was sentenced by Davis to a year in prison for criminal abuse.
