Woman jailed for operating meth lab
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A second person has been arrested on charges of operating an illegal meth lab on Dever Street in Portsmouth, according to Portsmouth Police Chief Robert K. Ware II.
Misty L. Hurt, 32, of the 4200 block of Dever Street in Portsmouth was arrested Wednesday on charges of the illegal manufacture of drugs, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children.
Members of the Southern Ohio Task Force discovered a meth lab Nov. 7 on Dever Street and arrested Dustin E. Carter, 32, of the 4200 block of Dever Street on a charge of illegal manufacture of drugs.
Both Hurt and Carter are being held in the Scioto County Jail without bond, according to a press release.
