$1,000 award offered for info on assault of 88-year-old woman
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- A $1,000 award is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two men who robbed and assaulted an 88-year-old Boyd County woman in her home earlier this week, said Sheriff Terry Keelin.
Mary K. Thacker, a resident of the 8200 block of Durbin Road, Catlettsburg, responded to someone knocking on her door about 7:45 p.m. Monday when two men forced their way into her home. One of them pushed her to the floor and held her face-down while the other ransacked her residence and stole her wallet which contained an undisclosed amount of money.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, according to the release.
