Residents report multiple thefts of shotguns, jewelry

IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:

BURGLARY: A 63-year-old Chesapeake man reported earlier this month that someone broke into his residence in Union Township and stole a shotgun and a leaf blower.

BURGLARY: A South Point area man reported earlier this month that someone broke into his residence in Fayette Township and stole jewelry valued at $430.

BURGLARY: A 59-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that someone stole a window air conditioner from a residence in Union Township.

THEFT: A 54-year-old South Point area man reported earlier this month that someone stole tools, an air conditioning unit and catalytic convertors and a vehicle from his property in Fayette Township. The items were valued at $3,850.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 59-year-old Chesapeake area man reported earlier this month that someone stole tools and 12 solar batteries from his property in Union Township. The items were valued at $3,200.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 64-year-old Ironton area man reported earlier this month that someone stole tools and a power washer from Upper Township. The items were valued at $1,150.

THEFT: A 33-year-old Chesapeake area man reported earlier this month that someone stole prescription medication and $100 in cash from his bedroom in Union Township.
