Man arrested on abduction, domestic violence charges
IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:
Sheriff's deputies arrested a Proctorville area man on charges of abduction, domestic violence and having weapons while under disability.
A 27-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that a man pulled a handgun on her. Deputies arrested James M Roe, 46, of Township Road 275, Proctorville, on the three charges and transported him to jail.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: Someone broke into the weight room under construction at Chesapeake High School last month and stole some tools and about $11,000 worth of copper piping.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: A representative of Scott Hutchison Enterprises reported last week that someone vandalized a rental house, stole copper and damaged electrical wiring and plumbing fixtures. The damages were estimated at $40,000.
Damages to the plumbing and building were estimated at $40,000 to $50,000.
BURGLARY: A 39-year-old Ironton area man reported last week that someone broke into his residence in Perry Township and stole a flat-screen television and tools. The items were valued at $2,000.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 59-year-old South Point area man reported last week that someone broke into a building and stole tools and other items valued at $1,430.
THEFT: A 51-year-old Willow Wood area man reported last week that someone stole a revolver valued at $1,000 in Windsor Township.
THEFT: A representative of Southern 52 Excavating in Perry Township reported last week that someone stole a Ford truck valued at $15,000 in Perry Township.
THEFT: A 63-year-old Proctorville area woman reported last week that someone stole a 2000 Honda valued at $10,000 in Rome Township.
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Sheriff's deputies reported last week that Aaron E. Lucas, 23, of Township Road 1216, Proctorville, was arrested on a charge of the theft of an ATV valued at $5,000.
