Ky. man charged with trafficking
ASHLAND -- An Ashland area man was arrested Wednesday on a charge of trafficking in controlled substances in the first degree by Boyd County sheriff's deputies, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Darrin L. Stafford, 47, of the 900 block of Wheatley Road, was arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday after a confidential informant working for the sheriff's department made a controlled buy of oxycodone. He was transported to the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg.
Authorities then served a search warrant at the residence and recovered drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the release.
