Decatur man reports theft of jewelry, tools and more

IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY: A 23-year-old South Webster, Ohio, area man reported last week that someone broke into his residence in Decatur Township and stole jewelry, tools, a heater, a laptop computer, Blue-ray and DVD movies, a Blu-ray player, a television and several firearms. The items were valued at $3,720.

BURGLARY: A 42-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that someone stole two laptop computers and jewelry from his residence in Union Township. The items were valued at $2,200.

RAPE: An 18-year-old South Point area woman reported Sunday that she was sexually assaulted at a friend's house.

FELONIOUS ASSAULT: A 26-year-old Ironton area man reported he got into a fight and was stabbed several times in Elizabeth Township before being taken to the emergency room in Ironton.

BURGLARY: A 27-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that someone stole an iPod Touch, a microwave, a DVD player, two bicycles, a toaster over, pots and pans and prescription medication. The items were valued at $650.

BURGLARY: A 37-year-old Proctorville area woman reported last week that someone stole a flat-screen television, car titles, an air compressor, household items, a Wii game, tools, two lawnmowers and a drum set. The items were valued at $3,854.

ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF WEAPONS: An 11-year-old Pedro area boy was suspended for nine days from the Severe Behavioral Handicapped program at the old Rock Hill Elementary School Building No. 3 on charges he brought two knives to school. He could be expelled and was cited into juvenile court.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 27-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that someone stole miscellaneous household items and fishing equipment from her residence in Perry Township. The items were valued at more than $7,500.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 71-year-old South Point area man reported last week that someone stole an aluminum building, an extension ladder and concrete blocks. The items were valued at $7,360.

THEFT: A representative of a tree-trimming company from Millersport, Ohio, reported last week that someone stole a wood chipper valued at $22,000 in Rome Township.

THEFT: A 50-year-old Proctorville area man reported last week that someone stole $7,600 from a cash box in his vehicle in Rome Township.

THEFT: An 80-year-old Ironton area man reported last week that someone stole a generator and some bolt cutters from his property in Upper Township. The items were valued at $1,035.

THEFT: A 71-year-old Proctorville area man reported last week that a British, bolt-action rifle valued at $1,000 had been missing for a year.

THEFT: A 35-year-old Ironton area woman reported last week that someone stole $1,350 in cash and a tattoo kit valued at $86.

THEFT: A 47-year-old Huntington man reported last week that someone broke into his company truck in Fayette Township and stole a flat-screen TV, $40 in cash, a CB radio, a GPS system, assorted tools, a flashlight and a spotlight. The items were valued at $860.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 46-year-old South Point area man and his 47-year-old wife were arrested by a sheriff's deputy on charges of domestic violence after admitting they got into a fight. Both were transported to jail.
