Portsmouth woman arrested in heroin case
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Detectives with the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force arrested a Portsmouth woman last month in a drug case, according to a news release.
Sashia M. Woods, 29, of Portsmouth, was named in seven counts of felony drug-related offenses including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and aggravated trafficking in heroin, according to the release.
Authorities confiscated more than one pound of heroin and about $12,000 in cash on property of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources in West Portsmouth last August, according to the release.
Several people from the Dayton, Ohio, area also are being sought in the case, according to the release.
