HUNTINGTON — Regardless of whether a high school’s football team wins or loses its homecoming football game, there is no postponing the homecoming dance the following night.

Four local high schools hosted homecoming dances Saturday night throughout the area, which made for a crowded Ritter Park earlier in the day when students and parents flooded the fountain plaza for impromptu photo shoots.

In Ohio, students at Fairland and Chesapeake High Schools celebrated their school spirit, while students attending St. Joseph Central Catholic High School danced the night away dressed in their homecoming best.

Also hosting a homecoming dance was Cabell Midland High School, where the theme was “A Knight in Candyland.”
