Drug charges lead to 6-year prison sentence
IRONTON -- A Huntington man was sentenced to six years in prison in a drug case, according to a press release Monday from Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney-elect Brigham Anderson.
Manuel J. Anderson, 33, of Huntington, pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of trafficking in oxycodone and one count of possession of oxycodone, according to the release.
Anderson also was fined $20,000 and had his driver's license suspended for a year. Judge W. Richard Walton, sitting by assignment, also ordered $1,600 in the defendant's possession at the time of his arrest forfeited, according to the release.
He had nearly 300 oxycodone tablets in his possession and $1,600 in cash at the time of his arrest in October, according to the release.
