Portsmouth woman, 31, arrested on drug charges
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A Portsmouth woman was arrested Monday on a charge of illegal manufacture of drugs, according to a news release from the Portsmouth Police Department.
Cynthia Fletcher Rowe, 31, of the 1600 block of 8th Street was arrested on the drug charge. She also was served with an outstanding warrant through Portsmouth Municipal Court for failing to appear on a charge of passing bad checks.
She was lodged in the Scioto County Jail, and her bond was set at $26,000.
Authorities found an active, one-pot methamphetamine lab in the basement of the home on 8th Street, according to Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware.
The Scioto County Health Department condemned the residence to the meth lab and deplorable living conditions found inside the residence, according to the release.
