Two small children locked in bedroom
PORTSMOUTH -- Two small children locked up in a bedroom for more than two hours were taken into the custody of Scioto County Children's Service, according to the office of Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini.
The sheriff's office received a complaint about 2 p.m. Monday and responded to a house in the 300 block of Center Street in West Portsmouth, according to a news release.
A deputy, a detective and children's services workers were able to get the children, aged 4 and 5, out through a bedroom window.
Nicole D. Blackburn, 24, one of the parents, was charged with child endangering, a felony. She is being held in the Scioto County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Warrants will be filed on Jason S. Campbell, 33, on a similar charge, according to the release.
