PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Scioto County sheriff's deputies arrested a Lucasville, Ohio, area man on charges of aggravated robbery in connection with a home invasion along Millers Run Back Run last week, according to a news release from the office of Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini.
Kyle Cassidy, 27, of Millers Run Back Run, Lucasville, was charged with aggravated robbery, and his bond was set at $250,000, according to the release.
A homeowner called authorities Jan. 31, saying that upon returning home, the home was found ransacked and a man wielding a knife was inside. A struggle ensued, and the suspect kicked a pregnant female in the stomach and held a knife up to the homeowner, demanding his wallet and threatening to kill the man.
The man sustained a laceration on his hand, and the couple was treated at Southern Ohio Medical Center and released.
The suspect fled the residence, taking a set of car keys and stealing a vehicle. Authorities subsequently arrested a suspect without incident following a traffic stop. The stolen vehicle was recovered on High Street in Minford, Ohio.
