Domestic violence hearing continued

February 22, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

IRONTON -- A hearing on a domestic violence charge against Lawrence County Commissioner Les Boggs has been continued until 9 a.m. March 7, according to Ironton Municipal Court officials.

Boggs, 51, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and a felony charge of disrupting public service last month. The felony charge subsequently was dismissed.

The case was set for 10 a.m. Thursday by Special Municipal Judge Richard Schisler of Scioto County. Schisler has approved a temporary protection order requiring Boggs and his estranged wife to stay away from each other. Boggs filed for a divorce last year. That petition is pending.
