Mar. 14, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

FRANKLIN FURNACE, Ohio -- The Green High School Alumni Association is preparing for the annual GHS Alumni Banquet that is set for 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Green High School gymnasium.

Anyone who attended and graduated from Green High School is invited to the casual, potluck dinner at the school. Folks attending should bring a covered dish to share. Admission is a $5 (or more) donation at the door with proceeds going to the alumni scholarship fund, the Ralph Mullins Scholarship. Two distinguished seniors will receive $750 scholarships. GHS seniors as well as current and former GHS teachers are admitted for free. The class of 2013 will be inducted into the GHS Alumni group, and high school students will showcase their abilities in the Green's Got Talent contest, hosted by country singer and GHS alum, Bobby Blanton.

A silent auction will include tickets to King's Island, as well as area zoos, COSI, festivals and concerts. Honored classes include the GHS classes of 1963, 1973, 1983, 2003 and the graduating class of 2013.
