GRAYSON, Ky. -- A Carter County couple indicted Friday on drug charges was arrested without incident Saturday by Kentucky State Police and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center, according to a news release.
Jennifer Duncan, 41, and Claude Duncan, 45, both of Grayson, were being sought by state police on felony drug charges. She was charged with first-degree assault and trafficking in a controlled substance while he was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, according to the release.
State police received a report Feb. 15 about a two-vehicle accident with injury at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Kentucky 182, according to the release.
The Duncans were charged with an illegal drug transaction involving several pills and several hundred dollars prior to the wreck last month. After getting some pills, a woman was pursued by a car driven by Jennifer Duncan for several miles, according to the release.
Jennifer Duncan is charged with driving a vehicle into the vehicle driven by the woman on Feb. 15. The woman was seriously injured and hospitalized for several weeks, according to the release.
The crash was an attempt to recover the drugs and money, according to the release.
The case was presented to a Carter County grand jury Friday by David Boarman, a Kentucky State Police detective.
