Homemakers win at annual meeting

PROCTORVILLE -- The Lawrence County Ohio Homemakers ' Annual Achievement Day was April 16 at Ohio University East, Proctorville.

The meeting was brought to order by President Anne Dobbins. A memorial service was held for two members of the Ensee Club, Jessie Ferguson and Alda McConnell .

The morning speaker was Scott Hill, director of Safety and Security at Kings Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland. The afternoon speaker was Joyce Pacer of Stampin 'Up, who demonstrated greeting cards and stamping art.

Club members' cultural arts projects were on exhibit and were judged by Jane Jarvis. The winners were as follows:
