Beford South Point Ford to raise money for Chesapeake High band
CHESAPEAKE, Ohio -- Beford South Point Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company's Drive 4 UR School program to the Chesapeake community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for the Chesapeake High School marching band.
For every person who takes the wheel and test-drives a new Ford vehicle from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Chesapeake High School, Beford South Point Ford and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the band.
"We know funding for school programs is hard to come by, and we want to do our part to help make sure these programs remain available," Beford owner Connie Beford said in a press release. "We're excited to raise money for Chesapeake High School.
"Whether you are looking to test out our fuel efficiency vehicles, like the Fusion or Focus, or are more interested in an electric vehicle, like the C-MAX, we will be able to put you behind the wheel of your favorite Ford vehicle," she said.
Dealership staff on site will be able to assist and provide additional information about each vehicle.
Since the start of Ford's Drive 4 UR School program in 2007, more than $16 million in donations have been generated for high schools nationwide.
Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver's license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household. All test-drives will last approximately 7-10 minutes.
