Oktoberfest to offer food, parade and fun
CHESAPEAKE -- The Triangle will fill up with the scents of tasty foods, creative crafts, autumn splendor and plenty of Panther purple on Saturday, Oct. 13, for the annual Oktoberfest.
A community homecoming of sorts, Oktoberfest celebrates all that is great about fall and serves as a gathering for old friends to reconnect.
Oktoberfest runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Special events include a parade at 10 a.m., a 5K that begins at 8:30 a.m., and a car show.
The free festival will offer games and inflatables for children, food, crafts, and plenty of live music.
Register for the 5K by emailing Dannie Newman at email@example.com. $50 goes to the top male and female runners.
