Library plans kid events

IRONTON -- Briggs Lawrence County Public Library has planned several timely events just for children in October and November.

Harvest Fest: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at South Point Library, 317 Solida Road, South Point. Features stories, games and a craft for preschoolers through elementary students.

Halloween Program, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Main Library, 321 S. 4th St., Ironton. Features stories, games and a craft for preschoolers through elementary students.

"Vote for Books," 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Proctorville Branch, 410 Elizabeth St., Proctorville. Teaches preschool through elementary age students about the voting process using stories, games and a craft. For information, call 740-886-6697.

"Give Thanks for Books," 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Chesapeake Branch, 11054 County Road 1, Chesapeake. Features stories, games and a craft for preschoolers through elementary students.
