Man arrested on heroin charges
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A Dayton, Ohio, man was arrested Monday, Oct. 29, on a charge of possession of heroin, according to Portsmouth police and Scioto County sheriff's deputies.
Marcus Haley, 49, of Dayton, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from Sheriff Marty Donini. He was being held at the Scioto County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
Authorities also took Carson W. Craft Jr., 32, of Portsmouth, in custody on a probation violation.
Following a search, authorities found about 70 grams of suspected heroin, $3,500 in cash, a small amount of marijuana, digital scales and assorted drug paraphernalia.
