Ironton area woman reports theft of jewelry, electronics

IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:

BURGLARY: A 30-year-old Ironton area woman reported someone stole jewelry, a Playstation 2 and a Playstation 3, two Wiis, an e-book reader, a camera, a coat, a laptop computer and a Kindle. The items were valued at $6,094.

BURGLARY: A 37-year-old South Point area man reported that someone stole a flat-screen television valued at $2,500 from his residence in Fayette Township.

THEFT: A representative of BBL Drilling in Belmont, Ohio, reported last week that someone stole 60 steel beams valued at $12,000 in Union Township.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 71-year-old South Point area man reported last week that someone stole a 2-ton furnace, a hot-water tank, a central heat and air unit, and an AEP meter. The items were valued at $12,080.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 42-year-old Chesapeake area man reported that someone stole a refrigerator, an engine, a washer and car parts from a garage in Union Township. The items were valued at $1,050.

THEFT: A 50-year-old Ironton man reported someone stole several car batteries and 18 aluminum windows. The items were valued at $1,500.

THEFT: A 63-year-old Proctorville area man reported that someone stole an 8-foot utility trailer valued at $1,000 from his property in Union Township.

THEFT: An Ironton area woman reported that someone stole her father's Chevy Trailblazer from her driveway. The vehicle, valued at $1,000, subsequently was found burned.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 46-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that her son was drunk and grabbed her and threw her down before throwing her into a wall. A sheriff's deputy arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported him to jail.
