Ohio Man charged with robbery
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A Wheelersburg, Ohio, man was arrested Friday on a charge of aggravated robbery. The man admitted robbing a BP station in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, a BP station in Lloyd, Ky., and Hopper's in Hanging Rock, Ohio, according to a news release from the office of Scioto County Sheriff Mary V. Donini.
Aaron J. Pack of Wheelersburg was charged with one count of aggravated robbery in the first degree. He is being held in the Scioto County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Monday.
Detectives have been investigating a September armed robbery at Bailey's BP on Gallia Pike in Franklin Furnace. A man armed with a small, black handgun took money from a cash register and fled on foot, according to the release.
A BP station in Greenup County was robbed Sept. 10 by a man brandishing a large knife. The robber jumped into a silver car and fled back across a bridge to Ohio. Meanwhile, Hopper's carryout in Hanging Rock was robbed by a man brandishing a gun.
Pack was picked up for questioning Friday, according to the release.
The case will be presented to a Scioto County grand jury and additional charges are possible, according to the release.
