Ashland police find Arizona fugitive
ASHLAND -- City police and U.S. marshals found more than they were looking for earlier this week when they went to a house in the 3200 block of Carter Avenue looking for a fugitive from Arizona.
Authorities found the fugitive, Ellis T. Pittman, 33, from Maricopa County. He is charged in Arizona with two felony counts of aggravated robbery. He was taken into custody, according to an Ashland Police Department news release.
Two local residents, Rebecca R. Leone, 29, and Edmund L. Thomas, 33, were charged with cultivation of marijuana after authorities found more than 40 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of nearly $100,000, according to the release.
Leone also was served with an unrelated warrant charging her with failure to appear, according to Lt. Darren Wilson of the Ashland Police Department.
