Work-at-home company to screen potential employees

ASHLAND -- Kentucky Teleworks, a work-at-home company, will screen potential employees in the Ashland and Louisa areas Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a news release.

Company officials will be at the Rocky Adkins Pavilion at Ashland Community and Technical College at the Technology Drive Campus in East Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and at the Northeast Kentucky CAA Louisa Career Center in Louisa from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Those interested in applying should bring a resume, an identification card and a Social Security card. Those applying also need to have a distraction-free space for a home office with high-speed Internet access, according to the release.

Kentucky Teleworks also will screen and accept applications for customer service. Information technology support and sales job also are available starting at $9 per hour and health benefits for full-time employees. Other jobs start at $8 per hour with the potential to earn up to $11.35 per hour.

The company is looking to fill 100 telesales positions in 30 days, according to the release. Those sales jobs pay up to $9.95 per hour with benefits and commissions and bonuses. Currently the company has agreements with six companies to fill nearly 3,000 jobs by the end of the year.
