Coal Grove ready for Fun Days

COAL GROVE -- Summer has arrived, and that means the annual Coal Grove Family Fun Days is just around the corner.

The three-day festival is sponsored by the Coal Grove Betterment Club on July 1-3 each year. The events take place at Paul Porter Park.

The family-oriented celebration includes live entertainment from 4 until 10 p.m. each day, and it concludes with a large fireworks display at 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3.

Daily activities include inflatables, games, vendors and food booths, along with live music.

An annual favorite is the Cake and Pie Auction. This year, it is planned for July 3, with auctioneer Bob Sells.

Monday, July 1

4-4:15 p.m.: Opening ceremony with singing of the National Anthem by Chris Laber

4:15-5:30 p.m.: Truth and Nails

5:30-7 p.m.: The Four of Us; Stanley & Marge Stamper; Stanley & Clara Mae Stark

7-10 p.m.:Southern Thunder

Tuesday, July 2

4-6 p.m.: Four Mile

6-8 p.m.: Southern Ground

8-10 p.m.: Pay Dirt

Wednesday, July 3

4-6 p.m.: Tyler Waller

6-7 p.m.: Cake and Pie Auction with Bob Sells, Auctioneer

7-10 p.m.: The Fugitives

10 p.m.: Fireworks
