Man charged in Ky. woman's murder
RUSSELL, Ky. -- A Kitts Hill, Ohio, man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a South Shore, Ky., woman whose body was found behind a business Saturday afternoon in Russell.
Arthur R. Quigley, 30, was arrested in Eldorado, Ohio, by the Preble County Sheriff's Office, according to a prepared release from the Russell Police Department. He has been charged with the murder of Mary C. Dixon. The 40-year-old woman was last seen at a Subway restaurant along Diederich Boulevard at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dixon worked at the restaurant.
A body was found behind Hobby Lobby, 433 Diederich Blvd., on Saturday afternoon. Police confirmed in the release that the body was identified as that of Dixon.
Quigley will be extradited to Kentucky in the near future, according to the prepared release. The criminal investigation, which remains ongoing, is being conducted by the Russell Police Department with assistance from the Bellefonte and Flatwoods Police departments and the Russell Fire Department.
