Lawrence Relay for Life closer to meeting goal

We would like to send out a huge thank you to some in Lawrence County for committing to be a 2015 Relay For Life of Lawrence County Sponsor! Cancer touches too many of our loved ones. In fact, more than 1.6 million people in the United States were expected to be diagnosed with cancer in 2014 alone. It is a staggering statistic. But thanks to you, there is hope.

Sun, Fun and Done!

I remember as a lad putting up hay for farmers in Southern Indiana. The hot weather made for uncomfortable situations when added with wasps in the barn loft, hay debris on the skin and in the eyes, and long days in the open fields under a glaring summer sun. Remarkably I do not remember being sunburned too many times. Yet, according to my doctors, all of that sun exposure added to the conditions which resulted in a skin cancer diagnosis. Too much sun can be no fun. Too much sun literally fries your skin and then you're done!
