IRONTON - A dozen people were indicted Wednesday by a Lawrence County grand jury, according to the office of Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson. An indictment is a formal charge made against a person by a grand jury. It does not establish guilt or innocence.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - A South Webster, Ohio, woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape and gross sexual imposition involving two children two years ago, according to the office of Sheriff Marty V. Donini.
IRONTON - Every now and then Nancy Huff gets to soar like an eagle, or at least like an Eddie Eagle.
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office filed last year for a grant from the National Rifle Association for an Eddie Eagle suit to get out the message of gun safety to youngsters, said Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
