IRONTON -- The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports:
A 66-year-old Chesapeake area man reported Saturday someone broke out several windows to his residence and he found a man inside his home in Union Township and some of his prescription medicine on the floor.
The man fled the home and the homeowner followed him several blocks to a wooded area and called authorities.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Davis, 33, of 386 Township Road 286, Chesapeake, on charges of aggravated burglary and resisting arrest. The deputy sprayed the man with mace when he refused to show he was unarmed. Davis was transported to the Lawrence County Jail in Ironton. Some change and prescription medication were recovered.
FELONIOUS ASSAULT: A 16-year-old Huntington teenager was beaten and taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Sheriff's deputies were looking for a 14-year-old South Point teenager who ran from authorities before being taken into custody. The teenager was taken to the Lawrence County Group and Shelter Home in Ironton.
ASSAULT: A 59-year-old South Point area woman reported Saturday another woman punched her several times in the face and once in the back.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: An employee at Wells Group Concrete Co. reported Friday someone used a claw hammer to break into two vending machines.
THEFT: A 53-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last week someone stole two shovels, a hedge cutter and the catalytic converter from his truck.
THEFT: A 28-year-old South Point area man reported last week someone stole a utility trailer from his property in Fayette Township.
