HURRICANE, W.Va. -- The third annual Bark at the Park on Saturday raised nearly $1,000 for the proposed Putnam Animal Relief Center.
The event included K-9 demonstrations, dog washing, pet portraits and an agility course for dogs.
Event organizer Karen Haynes noted there were a few traffic problems, but many pet owners turned out to enjoy the day's activities.
"I truly believe there were folks who wanted to come who were discouraged by the traffic," she said.
Donations can be made to the Putnam Animal Relief Center Fund at First State Bank, 1101 Hospital Drive, in Hurricane.
