Jul. 05, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

HURRICANE, WV -- Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is hosting a free educational workshop to help women become better prepared for the future and feel more confident about managing finances. Called "Real Money Talk for Women" the 60-minute interactive workshop will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 13, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5700 Route 60 East, Huntington. The workshop is presented by Eric Weimer, FIC, CLTC, Financial Associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in the Huntington-Charleston area.

Topics ranging from balanced spending and family protection to retirement planning and leaving a legacy will be covered in this interactive workshop. Participants will learn to reduce financial worries by understanding the financial facts that apply to women, to overcome barriers that stand in the way of financial success, and to develop sound savings and investment strategies.

"In the world we live in today, women need to take an active role in planning for their financial futures. Learning together in a relaxed group atmosphere makes this workshop a lot of fun," said Weimer. "Women in all stages of life will find something valuable to take away from the workshop."

To register for this free workshop, call Eric Weimer at 304-747-0893 or email eric.weimer@thrivent.com. Register early because space is limited.
