WILLIS CHAPMAN, 87, of Fraziers Bottom, W.Va., went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were Saturday, June 27, 2009, at God's House of Prayer, Milton. Burial will follow in Staten Chapel Cemetery, Milton. Willis was born March 9, 1922, in Putnam County, West Virginia, a son of the late William and Clara Davis Chapman. He is also preceded in death by one son, James Willis Chapman. He was a Deacon at God's House of Prayer. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Evaline Conrad Chapman; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Debbie Chapman, Gene and Lynn Chapman and Danny and Doris Chapman; one brother, Dallas Chapman; three grandchildren, Tommy Chapman, Jessica Skaggs and Lacy Chapman; four great-grandchildren, Zach Skaggs, Madison Skaggs, Kinsley Treadway and Kaden Treadway. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.

LILLIAN CARY HODGES, 92, of Hurricane, widow of Charles R. Hodges Jr., died Tuesday in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. Funeral service 1 p.m. today, July 3, Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane; burial at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane. Visitation two hours before service today at the funeral home.
