Putnam native named distinguished student at Glenville State

GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- A Winfield native is among 25 distinguished business student award recipients honored by Glenville State College's Department of Business faculty for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Brian Griffith, a senior accounting and management major from Winfield, received the Highest Senior Major Field Test Score Award. Griffith now lives in Glenville, W.Va., in Gilmer County.
"I am very proud of these students' achievements. The GSC Department of Business faculty, staff, and I are also very proud that we had a part in preparing them to reach their career goals," GSC Department of Business Chair Dr. Charles D. Batson said in a press release.
The awards were presented to the students at the annual GSC Business Recognition Spring Luncheon.
