Church to dedicate new facility in Hurricane

Aug. 16, 2013 @ 08:34 PM

HURRICANE — River Ridge Church Teays Valley Campus invites community members to an open house and dedication of its new facility in Hurricane.

The event from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, will showcase the church’s recently completed renovation of the former Saturn dealership, located just off exit 34 of Interstate 64 near the Wal-Mart Shopping Center.

“God has called us to pursue a unique ministry approach — one church family in multiple locations,” Executive Pastor Chad Cobb said in a news release.

In the fall of 2008, River Ridge Church began meeting in Teays Valley, and now the church holds services each week in both Charleston and Teays Valley.

“Both church campuses share the same values, statement of faith, leadership and vision,” Cobb said. “We are one church with one purpose — to see people grow in their love for God and their love for people.”

River Ridge purchased the former Saturn dealership in Hurricane in 2012. The first services in the new location will be at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18.
