Winfield High meets HI-Y requirements
WINFIELD — Winfield High School HI-Y is organized and met requirements for recognition as a HI-Y for the 2012 - 2013 school year.
Greg Julian is adviser to the group. Tymothy Boggess is the elected president for the new HI-Y.
“We have enthusiastic students ready for a full year of civic leadership, service, and good times with a purpose,” Boggess said in a news release.
HI-Y is a partnership of Ohio-West Virginia State YMCA’s HI-Y Leadership Center with Winfield High School, Putnam County Schools, and many others all working together to help the next generation become prepared and engaged citizens.
HI-Y is for every school and community. New HI-Ys are being formed locally and across the state.
Contact the HI-Y Leadership Center at 304-675-5899 or visit HI-Y’s website, www.hi-y.org. Tara Martinez provides staff leadership to HI-Y in Putnam County.
